FinTech360 for CFTE

Project Brief

FinTech360 is the perfect introduction to building skills to succeed in the modern world. But how do we effectively deliver this vital information to industry professionals while at the same time staying true to CFTE values? For the Fintech360 rebranding my team was fully redesigning the presentation of the course, rebuilding it on Storyline for optimal interactivity, and reinforcing the CFTE Think theme through consistent graphic templates.

Role

Within this project, I took on the role of Lead Designer, being in charge of the development of all visual elements for the brand repositioning, user experience and effective content delivery. To add, I was responsible for project management and planning for immediate integration of the new look for client use.

Graphic Design & Branding

Initial prototyping was done on Figma, where a weekly breakdown of the course was conducted. Each week consists of 5 learning days, with one being unlocked per day. The storyboard outlines prospective activities, as well as the structure of the lectures. The new look of the course was first prototyped on Adobe XD.

Then, I independently transferred this into fully-fledged courses on Storyline, together with vector graphics that I made separately. A crucial addition has been gamification of the course, with each day being represented by a piece of a circle that the user acquires. At the end of the 6-week course, the learner would have 6 complete circles, as well as a reward badge. This is a popular tactic to increase the appeal of educational content.

Final Concept

The key elements that optimised the course for the students and have been the focal point of the rebranding are:

  • Reinforcement - introduction of lecture breaks in the form of 'quick questions'; MCQs, Drag & Drop, enabling review of new learnings.

  • Rounding - graphics redone with circular motif to reflect the '360' theme of the THINK courses, in addition to symbolising unity and gaining total understanding.

  • Return - with sneak peeks to new days, as well as effective advertising for new courses and a more engaging flow of each lesson increases the likelihood of a learner returning to the course and continuing their education and relationship with CFTE.
